    New game interface notes.


      Since 1999 game interface changed very deeply. Now on the left you have menu:
      You can choose menu items by double-clicking on them or use Ctrl+Down or Ctrl+Up to move and Enter to choose.
      When you first plays you will use the menu. But... when you became a professional in Strategist battles... YOU WILL HAVE TO LEARN ALL HOT KEYS because the moment will get away if you use the mouse. I am going to make a feature to change hot keys as you want but only God knows when I do it :-)

    Starting game
    First you should connect. In the list of Strategist servers choose location of server or write new location. Press Connect menu button.

    Then you can create new game or join existing game.
     

    1. Creating new game:
     

    • Write your name in the field "Your name"
    • Choose map in the maps list
    • Write name of the game created
    • Press create game button
    • Wait for other players
    • Choose appropriate game speed
    • Choose appropriate game type ( For gold or for territory )
    • Choose time to finish game
    • Press START  button ... and enjoy...


    2.  Joining existing game:

    • Write your name in the field "Your name"
    • Choose existing game in the games list
    • Press Join Game button
    • Wait for the game master to start the game


    Messaging
        If you made even though one step your name will appear in the players Monitor. After that any player
    can message you. You can make alliances and send messages to your allies or enemies. Use a table on the left down corner of the program. A - means alliance, E- means enemy.
     
    • Message all ( F8 button )
    • Message allies (F7 button )
    • Message enemies ( Shift+F7 button )

    Keyboard Focus

    Arrows don't work if keyboard focus changes. If you want to get or put soldiers on the cell program changes keyboard focus to enter a number. Enter a number and press "Enter". Entering zero or empty means that you want to get or put maximum available. If focus moves to any place press Enter and it will move to the map.


    Players Monitor





    If you press F4 you will see players monitor. You can see the following data:

    • Player's whole army.
    • Player's whole gold.
    • Number of cells player owns.
    • Number of killed soldiers.
    • Current market query.
    • After army,gold and cells you see place number. One means the first.
    If you press Shift+F4 map is translated in  garrison show mode.

    All the cells you own will be drawn in the following way:
    ( N is number of soldiers on cell )

      - N < 10
    -  10  <= N < 30
    -  30  <= N < 100
    -  100 <= N < 500
    -  500 <= N < 1000
    -  N   => 1000


    Market Operaions
    Press F9 to start one of the following operations:
     
  • Send query for buying soldiers
  • Send query for selling soldiers
  • Donate soldiers or gold
  • Cancel query sent before
    • When you donate you can choose whom you will donate. When you buy/sell you will not know
    who bought or sold soldiers to you.

    Market works with the following rules:

  • Every player has equal rights.
  • Market takes difference between sold price and bought price.
  • If there are many queries with the same price, market evenly apportion soldiers.
  • You can't know prices nominated by players.
    • Situations that can appear with the market:
  • Your sold price is very high ( no player who want to buy with such high price ) - and you query will wait for the best times...
  • Your bought price is very low ( analogically )
  • If the following situation exists:
  • Player 1 want to buy 20 soldiers with 5 gold units/per soldier price
  • Player 2 want to buy 15 soldiers with 4 gold units/per soldier price
  • Player 3 want to buy 50 soldiers with 4 gold units/per soldier price
  • Plater 4 want to sell 55 soldiers with 4 gold units/per soldier price
    • Players will receive:
  • Player 1 will receive 20 with price 5
  • Player 2 will receive (15 min (55-20)=35/2=17)=15 with price 4
  • Player 3 will receive (55-20-15)=20 with price 4
  • Player 4 will sell 55 with price 4

    Define the number for the previous operation

    Automatic collection: Leave if more

    Automatic collection: Round to ( switches between 
    three values: 0,30,100)

    Digits are used to put or get soldiers tenners. 1- put 10, 2- 20.. 0- 100. To get press with Shift.
